While fortunate for a race with long green flag runs, I came up seven points short in my quest to make the playoffs in ASL. I was happy to have finished 8th, even despite tagging the wall. While I can lay blame on the wrecks I’ve gotten caught up in–especially Talladega the week prior–I just simply did not get the job done.
But my work here is not done! I still intend to score a race win in the remaining races. Iowa is certainly a possibility, but Texas is where I think I can perform the best.
Perhaps I expected more of myself for a rookie than was within reason, or maybe I just got outdone by my own back luck, as it were. Nevertheless, I do not intended to give up on my quest for another checkered flag.
